Description
Ducati's second generation of V-engines, known as the "square case", debuted with the 860 GT in the mid-1970s. A design derived from the previous series but improved in many respects, the new engine formed the basis for an entire generation of motorbikes for the Borgo Panigale company. Introduced in 1977 and designed by Leo Tartarini, the Darmah stood out as a GT with an aggressive look, sleek lines and a 900cc engine.
This 1977 example has been sold new in the Netherlands and there modified before being acquired by the current owner. One of the first 900 SD Darmah's 400 chassis, this motorbike is equipped with engine parts from the 900SS and it is inspired by the late 70ies production racers.
Fun to ride, it's without a doubt a special that will give its new owner immense satisfactions.
