Official Bultaco rider Sammy Miller, riding the Sherpa, won two European championship titles in 1968 and 1970, while the brand collected, in all, 4 European championship titles and 5 trial championship titles. The Type 49 appeared in 1968 as a replacement for the Type 27. It was distinguished notably by a new frame. The example on offer has benefited from a comprehensive restoration and has not been driven since. It is in superb condition and will fit in an office as a decoration, well as on forest roads.
