A chalet in the Swiss Alps doesn’t have to be nostalgic

During the filming of the James Bond movie ‘Goldfinger’ in 1963, Sean Connery lived in the nostalgic Hotel Bergidyll in the Furka Pass of Andermatt. More than half a century later, the swanky Alpine town can now be enjoyed in a very contemporary way…

Not only do the demanding passes and ski slopes in the surrounding mountains make the valley of Andermatt one of the most interesting destinations in Switzerland, soon the Alpine town will also become a new mecca for architecture lovers. A number of modern Alpine chalets are to be created in the exclusive Holiday Village Andermatt Reuss, and buyers have the opportunity to customise their future dream home in close cooperation with the architects and the development company. The Andermatt Swiss Alps AG is currently planning three different chalet plans — but anyone who wants to enjoy an unspoilt view of the Reuss or golf course from their minimalist chalet should act fast.
