Held at Messums Wiltshire, a monastic barn-cum gallery space, from 5–29 May, Art in Motion – Knowledge and Design will see seven post-War European automotive icons, including the AC Cobra 289, Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari 288 GTO, and McLaren F1, assembled in this remarkable setting. Exploring the evolution of technology and how designers and engineers fused art and applied engineering, breaking countless boundaries doing so, the exhibition will be supplemented by five informative talks from the ‘Voices of the Future’, such as Hugo Spowers, the British inventor and visionary, and Mark Roberts, design operations manager at McLaren Automotive. Proceedings commence this evening with a champagne reception and talk by the exhibition’s curator, Richard Sutton.
