The mythical Ferrari 250 GT Zagato Berlinetta returns to Milan

The mythical Ferrari 250 GT Zagato Berlinetta returns to Milan

Looking at the voluptuous yet subtle shapes of its hand-beaten body, it's no surprise that the Ferrari 250 GT Zagato Berlinetta Speciale is considered to be one of the rarest and most beautiful sports cars of all time. Now the blue-and-white Berlinetta is on display at Larusmiani in Milan.

While most Ferrari 250 GT ‘Tour de France’ built in the 1950s were bodied by Scaglietti, five of the long-wheelbase cars were sent to Zagato in Milan for an even more exclusive treat. The lightweight Berlinetta sports car designed by Ugo Zagato’s team featured a sweeping, lightweight coachbuilt body and Zagato's trademark double-bubble roof. The most famous and desirable of the Z cars is the two-tone Berlinetta, better known by its chassis number 0515GT, which extensively raced in period, even boasting 1956 Mille Miglia entry.

Owned by US collector extraordinaire David Sydorick, the blue-and-white Ferrari 250 GT Zagato is now taking centre stage in its hometown of Milan. After an exclusive photo shoot at Palazzo Borromeo, the unicorn car can be adored in the window of the Larusmiani store in Via MonteNapoleone. On 21-22 May 2022, the Berlinetta will star at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como.
