A fitting farewell

With only 99 being produced, and supposedly costing more than the 480,000-euro G63 AMG 6x6 before it, this is the ultimate office hub on wheels for the oligarch or other such dignitaries, as there are very few who could more appreciate its leather-lined cabin, hinged running boards, transitional glass partition, video screens, retractable tables, and fully reclining seats with air chambers and built-in hot stone massaging. Performance speeds have yet to be announced, but after 38 years, we all know that it is not the speediness of the G-Wagen that draws us in but the over-the-top outrageousness of it all — and this last edition does the model proud.
