Among Hollywood’s most famous cars, the ski-laden Lotus Esprit from the 1981 Bond thriller For Your Eyes Only has now inspired a new Mini Remastered, the superb classic mini restomod hand-built by David Brown Automotive (yes, the purveyor of that slightly questionable Aston Martin DB5 rehash). Resplendent in the same shade of ‘Copper Glow’ as the Lotus and featuring the ‘Sahara Gold’ Turbo motifs, this Mini Remastered was commissioned by Simon Cowell, the famously critical music mogul. There are 13-inch alloy wheels also painted gold, fade-to-black arches and three Cibie driving lights mounted between the two LED headlights. As you can imagine for a car belonging to someone so engrained in the music biz, the ‘Arctic White’ leather interior, festooned with ‘Dark American Burr Walnut’ veneer, is also equipped with a powerful and fully connected six-speaker sound system. It’s a yes from us, Simon.
