Since 1978, the Suzuka 8 Hours has been a race of the FIM Motorcycle Endurance World Championships in Japan. This year, auction house BH Auctions has organised its first motorcycle auction in conjunction with the race — and the catalogue is fascinating. Amongst the lots are such Japanese dream machines as a 1982 Honda RS1000 Racer, a Minolta Suzuki GSX-R750R “TT-F1 Racer”, a 1995 Honda RVF750R / RC45 and a 2018 Kagayama Katana-R 1000. But there are also a wide range of international collector bikes, such as a 1988 Ducati 851 Racing and a 2009 MV Agusta Brutale 1078RR. Meanwhile, in the café racer category, we are particularly impressed with a Bellini 900 SEI “Classic Racer” from the Netherlands. The complete catalogue of the BH Auction sale on 27 July 2019 at Suzuka can be found in the Classic Driver Market.
