Described as a "time capsule" in RM's Monterey catalogue, the 129-miles-from-new, 1989 Ferrari Testarossa stunned the saleroom when it was hammered down for $240,000.

A model to US specification, the Rosso Corsa car was purchased new from Kessler Motors in New York on April 21, 1989, for a purchase price approaching $142,000,
