The Ford Mustang is an incredibly beloved car in every capacity. However, a 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback is the pinnacle for many. In this case, the car is also equipped with many Shelby parts and looks even more aggressive than a "normal" Fastback.

This example was delivered new in the United States and came to Europe a few years ago. The car was completely overhauled and restored in Europe. The work was carried out very thoroughly and with great attention to detail. The body was completely reduced to bare metal. The sheet metal parts were repaired where necessary and then sprayed in this beautiful red color. The red paint is not only very beautifully sprayed but also of very high quality. The lacquer is a two component acrylic lacquer and looks beautiful. The underside of the car is also very nicely painted. The fits are correct and as icing on the cake, the car received beautiful stickers. That alone was not enough to give this Mustang the look that the client was looking for, so it was decided to equip the car with a GT350r front bumper, GT500 headlights, GT350r side vents, GT350r intake and American Racing Torq-Thrust. 17 inch rims. Finally, a special brace was fitted to make the body even stiffer.

The engine was completely rebuilt with many parts from Edelbrock. The engine is based on a 4.7 liter V8 that produces 228 hp and is mated to the much loved and rare Borg Warner T10 4-speed manual transmission. The engine was fitted with a Holley four barrel 570 Street Avenger carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, Edelbrock cylinder heads, Edelbrock Torker plus camshaft. To ensure that the exhaust gases can quickly leave the engine, Scott Drake Racing stainless steel exhaust manifolds were mounted, which were combined with a 2.5 inch Magnaflow exhaust. In addition, there is the option of opening the exhaust even earlier by means of valves. Koni shock absorbers were mounted, and a new grille to allow as much air as possible.

The interior has been completely reupholstered with black carpets and black vinyl on the seats. The car received a Shelby plate on the passenger side and is also equipped with the special storage space reserved for cars with a manual transmission. In addition, special Cobra mats were placed in the car, the car got a tachometer and a sports steering wheel. The Mustang is also equipped with four belts and looks beautiful.

This is a restoration and overhaul of the purest water. This car not only looks fantastic but is also an absolute joy to drive. The engine roars with pleasure and the proportions of the manual transmission make driving an unprecedented pleasure. The combination of the good tires and the completely new chassis mean that the car handles even better than you would expect from a Ford Mustang. It is an absolute sight to see and a smile generator pur sang, not only for the oncoming driver but also for people who see him driving past.
