Beschreibung

The fourth generation Skyline, the GC110, commonly known as the “Kenmeri”, is one of the most popular Skyline generations. Prices have increased due to this and their increasing rarity. This car is particularly special as it’s an export model Datsun 240K HGC110 which was exhibited at the Prince & Skyline Museum for 15 years and is in great condition. This is probably the only confirmed HGC110 example in Japan.
The Datsun 240K was mainly sold in Europe, Thailand and Australia, this example was originally sold in the latter. Interestingly, all the models in the catalogues were women, which suggests that, in contrast to the domestic market, women were often among the buyers of these cars. In fact, records show that the first owner of this car, imported from Australia, was a married woman.
The biggest difference between the 240K and the Japanese model is the engine. The 240K is powered by the larger 2.4-litre L24 inline-6 engine, whereas the Japanese model was powered by the 2-litre L20 inline-6, the 400cc difference being more apparent than the numbers suggest, resulting in a more torquey feel.
At first glance, this car looks like an ordinary Kenmeri, but if you look carefully at the engine and the smaller details, it becomes clear that this is a special Kenmeri, even rarer than the domestic models. This car is not just for Kenmeri fans but any Skyline enthusiast.
