Beschreibung
Guide price: £35000 - £40000.

A very smart M3 with Evolution 2 upgrades. 220bhp. Excellent paintwork and interior

'Evo 2' front spoiler, brake ducts, cooling vent, 16” wheels, and M-Technic steering wheel

Matching numbers. Lots of paperwork and history. Original German registration document

Recent maintenance. Freshly MOT'd

The E30 M3 was the first purpose-built saloon produced by BMW at their in-house Motorsport Division as a racing homologation special. Introduced in 1986 as a road car, it dominated Touring Car racing throughout the World taking countless titles including the prestigious German, Australian and British championships, not to mention the World Touring Car Championship in 1987.

This E30 M3 was initially registered on 09.09.1987 to the factory in Munich and was enjoyed by two private owners in Germany before being exported to the UK and re-registered in July 1997. The supporting paperwork and the International Admission Certificate are in the owner's file along with the original handbooks, M3 supplement, and a substantial number of receipts, invoices, MOT certificates and tax discs etc. covering 22 years from 1996 whilst the car was still in Germany and continuing to the present day. The Service Booklet appears to be missing, however, the information contained in the service invoices and old MOTs would suggest the current odometer reading of 169,000 is correct.

According to the original German registration document, it has matching chassis and engine numbers (WBSAK050901891805/60054041) and the same document indicates that from late 1988, this M3 benefited from an upgrade to Evolution 2 specification raising the power output to 220bhp. It's also fitted with an Evolution 2 front spoiler, brake ducts, cooling vent, 16” wheels, and M-Technic steering wheel. Original equipment includes an electric sunroof, rear sun blind, and heated seats and the tool kit remains in place. The car will be freshly MOT'd for the sale and we understand recent maintenance has included replacement Koni front shock absorber inserts, 'Powerflex' front lower arm rear bushes, new distributor cap, new rotor arm, and front and rear brake pads and sensors. The original Alpine White paintwork remains in very nice condition as does the interior which features Recaro seats in Anthracite Grey 'half' leather with a grey check cloth.

The World's enthusiasm for the E30 M3 shows no sign of diminishing and this lovely example is sure to find a good home.
