The Model: Using twin turbochargers, and even with all the required emissions equipment, Porsche still could pull out 415 horses from their famous flat-six. It was among the most power sports cars of the day and even a decade later these cars command respect from those who drive them and those silly enough to challenge them on the road. This year the Cabriolet joined the 911 Turbo family. Another innovation Porsche pioneered was all-wheel drive in a sports car, which really keeps mishaps from happening. Porsche’s Stability Management was the model many other brands would build their own car on. With looks styled and a full assortment of appointments, little is lacking with the 911 Turbo.
The Car: This black beauty has been taken very good care of during its 83,450 miles of road use. The paint up front is in very good condition, while the Five Spoke alloy special Turbo wheels do show a bit of road usage, it also shows the care this car has been given. Stopping power comes from a set of “red” caliper disc brakes which insures swift and sure stopping power. The soft top folds neatly and presents itself well as do the leather seats which show only a minimal of wear. If the wonderful assortment of gauges should not be entertaining enough, there is a deluxe factory sound system, as well as a navigation and control screen. With a price tag when new of well over $128,000, this could be your best Porsche bargain ever.
