"The Corniche was Rolls-Royce's coupé and convertible version of the Silver Shadow produced between 1971 and 1996. It was named ‘Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Two-Door Fixedhead Coupé', before 1971 after which the more elegant name of ‘Corniche’ was applied. The model was assembled and finished in London at Mulliner Park Ward as a continuation of the 1965 Silver Shadow coupé and was also sold as a Bentley although that model became known as the Continental in 1984. The first car to wear the Corniche name was a 1939 prototype based on the Bentley Mk. V which was never produced due to the onset of World War I.
Originally registered on 27th January, 1976, this Corniche was thought to be the Motor Show car in 1977. A Suffix 1A Corniche is the best of both worlds, with the later type dashboard and instruments and front subframe with rack and pinion steering, yet aesthetically a delightful looking car with chrome bumpers. The blue coachwork is in very good order and the cream leather interior is soft, supple and shows no sign of significant wear. These Rolls-Royces are exceptionally graceful in their appearance and certainly do not disappoint when driven. The car is supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate, sadly there is no too much available in terms of history although the condition could well indicate the odometer reading to be correct, however not warranted."
