Beschreibung
- This Alpine Gran Tourisme (GTA) is one of the very few examples produced in 1985 out of 69 cars built and one of the 7 remaining in the road and non-racing version. It was in fact produced to participate in the “Europa Cup Renault Alpine V6 Turbo” to open the F1 championship races. The car has had only one owner who bought it for 140,000,000 lire from the Renault dealer in Rieti, which had received it as a prize from Renault Corse for winning the 1986 Europa Cup. Regularly registered. No valid MOT.
- Bodywork in white plastic and polyester, typical of the ready-to-race cars that had to be later decorated with sponsors’ liveries. Excellent general state of preservation, it has traveled only 97,000 km from new; complete interior in excellent condition. Some details are affected by the 35 years of age and handcrafted construction. Like all 69 Europa Cups, it is equipped with roll bar mountings, front safety tank, further lightened structure to contain the weight within 950Kg and other predispositions for racing.
- Mechanics in good order, regularly maintained over the years. The Europa Cup limited series represents the maximum evolution of the Alpine GTA model, the PRV engine has reduced displacement to 2.5, power rises to 260 hp for a top speed of 256 km/h and 0-100 in 3.9 seconds. Very high performance by both the standards of the time and today. Split 5-bolt wheels.
- The Renault Alpine GTA was one of the highest-performance sports cars of its era, with a very low Cx and lightweight that outclassed all its competitors, but it lacked finish and craftsmanship that made it less attractive than the more famous sports cars. This vehicle, one of only seven left on the road and with number plates, offers access to the magical world of French-style sports saloons with a budget that is certainly low compared to the supercar performance and charm it offers. It has a clear history, a single owner and is very well preserved.
- The Alpine GTA must be collected from the province of Chieti.
