Ein atemberaubender Sportwagen, der sich von allen anderen Porsche 928 Modellen abhebt.
Er ist deutlich leichter und der Motor wurde im Porsche Werk, auf die seinerzeit typische Art und Weise, "scharf" gemacht:
feingewogene Kolben
"schärfere" Nockenwelle
polierte Einlass- und Auslasskanäle
"schärfere" Steuerzeiten
kleinerer und leichterer Sportkatalysator
gewichtsreduzierte- bzw. entfallene Teile.

Der Motor des CS "faucht heiser" und dreht viel höher, bis 6.775 U/ Min.!
Er trägt zusätzlich zur Motornummer die eingeschlagene Kennung "SP".

Der erste Eigentümer dieses Autos war die Porsche AG und der erste Besitzer/ Fahrer ein bekannter, leitender Ingenieur des Hauses Porsche, der die geniale Idee zu ClubSport- Modellen bei Porsche hatte.
Es ist also der Porsche 928 S4 ClubSport vom Erfinder der ClubSport Porsches!
Nach seiner Zeit als Porsche Werkswagen war das Auto, bis zum Januar 2019 (als ich ihn dort erstand), in der Schweiz beheimatet.
Das Auto galt zuvor jahrelang als in der Schweiz "verschollen".
DER Experte für dieses Modell, ein in Frankreich lebender Enthusiast, der auch die komplette Liste aller gebauten 928 CS, inklusive aller Ausstattungscodes jedes dieser Autos herausgebracht hat, war sehr erfreut, als mein Auto Anfang 2019 wieder "auftauchte" und er nun auch den Verbleib dieses Stückes automobiler Geschichte kennt.

Hier noch kurz einige Fakten zum Modell 928 4S Clubsport, die ich der Recherche und Dokumentation dieses Monsieurs verdanke:

4 Stück Prototypen (4 x indischrot) im Modell- Jahr 1987

4 Stück Vorserien- Fahrzeuge (4 x grand prix weiß). MJ 1987

12 Stück 928 S4 ClubSport wurden im Modelljahr 1988 hergestellt

7 Stück im Modelljahr 1989
Insgesamt waren es nur 27 Autos inklusive der Vorserie und Prototypen.
19 offizielle 928 S4 ClubSport, davon 10 Stück indischrot (guards red).
Lediglich zwei Stück tannengrün- Metallic (Forest Green) , beide Modelljahr 1989 . Der andere Tannengrüne hat eine schwarze Innenausstattung und Flankenschutzleisten an den Karosserieseiten, sieht also ganz anders aus, als meiner.
Der 928 S4 ClubSport des Modelljahres 1989 unterscheidet sich in Details vom S4 ClubSport des Modelljahres 1988 (z.B. Dachantenne, andere Lautsprecheranlage).
Mein Auto ist der vorletzte überhaupt gebaute 928 S4 ClubSport.

A breathtaking sports car that clearly stands out from all other Porsche 928 models.
It is significantly lighter and the engine was made "sharp" in the Porsche factory in the manner typical of the best tuning specialists at the time:
finely weighed pistons
"sharper" camshaft
polished inlet and outlet ports
"sharper" control times
smaller and lighter sports catalytic converter
weight-reduced or eliminated parts.

The CS engine "snarls" and revs much higher, up to 6,775 rpm!
In addition to the engine number, it has the stamped identification "SP".

The first owner of this car was Porsche AG and the first owner/driver was a well-known senior Porsche engineer who had the brilliant idea for ClubSport models at Porsche.
So it's the Porsche 928 S4 ClubSport from the inventor of the ClubSport Porsches!
After its time as a Porsche works car, the car was based in Switzerland until January 2019 (when I bought it there).
The car had previously been considered "missing" in Switzerland for years. THE expert on this model, an enthusiast living in France, who also published the complete list of all 928 CS built, including all trim codes of each of these cars, was very pleased when my car "turned up" again in early 2019 and he now its whereabouts of this piece of automotive history.

Here are a few facts about the 928 4S Clubsport model, which I owe to the research and documentation of this gentleman:

The other forest green has a black interior and protective strips on the body sides; he looks very different to my car.
The 928 S4 ClubSport from model year 1989 differs in details from the S4 ClubSport from model year 1988 (e.g. roof antenna, different loudspeaker system).
My car is the penultimate 928 S4 ClubSport ever built.
