1962 - Porsche 356 BT6 1600

The car which we are offering for sale is a 356 BT6 1600 Coupé from 1962, which has all the attributes associated with this model. This Porsche was completely restored in the United States before being reimported into Europe. It has magnificent Slate Grey paintwork (reference 6201), which is sober and elegant, while its chrome and wheel trims are in excellent condition. The interior is likewise in fine shape, with perfectly patinated black upholstery and grey carpets in good order. It should be noted that the engine is not original but is a 1600 C unit (type 616/15), developing an additional 15bhp and 75bhp in all. The car has been regularly maintained since it was reimported. In 2015, for example, the owner had the following parts replaced: the rear shock absorbers, the battery, the coil, the distributor, five chromed wheels, the fuel tank and the headlamps. In 2016, it was the turn of the clutch release bearing and a wheel cylinder to be replaced, while an electric fuel pump was fitted and the dashboard wiring overhauled. Finally, in 2017, the brakes were removed and adjusted. All this service work has ensured that this 356 is in excellent mechanical order.
