In 1998, Maserati presented its new sports coupe: 3200 GT, created by the Italdesign style office of Giogetto Giugiaro to which the trident brand had already entrusted the design of the Ghibli, Bora and Merak models. The 3200 GT is the first model to be fully studied and developed after the takeover of the manufacturer by the Fiat Group.

This is the first Maserati to receive a Ferrari engine, it inherits the volcanic 4244cc V8 of the Modena developing 390 horsepower, also installed a year earlier on the Maserati Spyder. The car is going to be a dazzling success.

To mark the occasion, Maserati decided to relaunch competition with a much more refined and developed model to take part in the famous 24 Hours of Daytona. This authentic Gt of competition at a price place several times in the championship in the hands of a gentleman driver who wanted a different car from the others and decides the veil of pink, this car has never had a serious accident and is in perfect working order. ; it has remained to this day with its war paint in a collection of a private amateur. Now eligible for the most prestigious events on the historical calendar, this Maserati Trofeo is an entry ticket to Daytona Classic but also to the dedicated Master Endurance Legends. to prototypes and GTs from 1995 to 2011.

En 1998, Maserati présente son nouveau coupé sportif: 3200 GT, crée par le bureau de style Italdesign de Giogetto Giugiaro auquel la marque aux trident a déjà confié le dessin des modèles Ghibli, Bora et Merak. La 3200 GT s'inscrit comme le premier modèle entièrement étudié et mis au point après la reprise du constructeur par le Groupe Fiat.

C’est la Première Maserati à recevoir un moteur Ferrari, elle hérite du volcanique du V8 de 4244 cm3 de la Modena développant 390 chevaux, également installé un an plus tôt sur la Maserati Spyder. La voiture va connaitre un succès fulgurant.

Cette authentique Gt de compétition à prix place à plusieurs reprises aux championnat aux mains d un gentleman driver qui voulait une auto différente des autre et décide de la voilée de rose, cette auto n a jamais eu d accident grave et se trouve en parfait état d utilisation ;elle est restée jusqu’à ce jour avec sa peinture de guerre dans une collection d’un amateur privé. Eligible désormais aux plus prestigieuses épreuves du calendrier historique, cette Maserati Trofeo est un ticket d'entrée à Daytona Classic mais aussi au Master Endurance Legends dédiés aux prototypes et GT de 1995 à 2011.
