This is a very nice Jaguar SS100 Replica. Although this is a replica, the car is almost indistinguishable from the original. This SS100 differs from normal SS100 Replicas by the fact that the car has a steel body and is equipped with a manual transmission with four gears. The car is very fast thanks to the strong 3.5 six-in-line engine. Where many companies that built replicas used the later Jaguar XJ6 as a basis, this car was built in the 1950s in New Zealand by a Jaguar fan with a shortened Jaguar 2 1/2 litre saloon chassis and a steel body, exactly like the so original. The proportions of the car are therefore much more realistic than with a replica based on a Jaguar XJ6.

The bodywork looks neatly cared for. The chassis is rock solid and is also in very good condition. The paint has some light traces of use but is in good condition. The car stands on beautiful wire wheels with good tires in the correct sizes. The wire wheels are painted in the colour of the car and give the car a tough appearance. The car also has a spare wheel at the rear so that you are never faced with surprises on longer journeys.

The interior is covered with beautiful green carpets and green leather on the seats. The seats offer a lot of support and are comfortable. The interior of the Jaguar is otherwise spartan and functional. The steering wheel lies well in the hand and the instruments are easy to read. The top of the dashboard is also covered with green leather that is still in good condition. The instruments and controls all function as they should.

The technology consists of proven and rock-solid Jaguar technology. The 3.5 litre inline six comes from the Jaguar Mark IV and is equipped with a sports air filter and a sports exhaust. The engine hangs well on the gas and sounds beautiful without being tacky, it is and remains a Jaguar of course. The chassis and brakes are in good condition and give the car stable driving behaviour. Due to the low weight of the car, it is beautiful to tour and the car does not shy away from corners at higher speeds. The transmission shifts precisely and is equipped with fine gearbox ratios.

In short, a rare and very beautiful Jaguar 100SS Replica in wonderful condition and beautiful colour scheme.
