Beschreibung
The Ford Model B was introduced in 1932 as a replacement for the Model A and was produced until 1934. It was available in a large variety of body styles including two door roadster, two door coupe, four door sedans, four door station wagons and also pickup derivative.
The Model B’s proved very popular with bootleggers as they were easily modified then used to evade the revenue agents in the Prohibition era. During the period after WWII, returning soldiers regularly upgraded Model B’s with larger engines, improved suspension and transmissions. It was common place to fit larger rear wheels to raise gear ratio for higher speed, while in the front smaller wheels allowed the car to rake forward for improved aerodynamics. These cars were built to race and became known as “Hot Rods.”
The 1932 Ford Model B Three Window Coupe “Hot Rod” offered here is Finished in Dark Blue with Brown leather interior and has covered only 29 test miles.
