The Ferrari Mondial is one of the last cars produced by the Italian manufacturer during Enzo Ferrari's lifetime. It is after the weak sales of the 308 that Ferrari decided to launch the Mondial range reaching a wider public; all these cars are designed by Pininfarina and have a V8 engine in a central rear position. When the first model was introduced in 1980, the engine was a 3.0 V8 with 16 valves and 214 horsepower. In 1989, the Mondial T was added to the range, it kept the aesthetic aspects of the Mondial, but it is on the mechanical side that the big changes were made. The V8 engine was moved to a longitudinal position with a transverse gearbox forming a T (hence the name of the model). The V8 increases its displacement to 3.4 liters and 300 horsepower, allowing the Mondial T to reach 260 km/h in coupe or cabriolet version.
This Ferrari Mondial T Cabriolet comes from the United States, it is part of the same family since 1994 and has only 46,000 km on the odometer. A new belt was ordered in 2017 and various invoices from 2014 and 2016 attest to maintenance. This model is attractive as it offers true sporty performance at a reasonable price, the Alpaca top and rear window are in good condition.
