Beschreibung
Founded in 1977 by Willy König in Munich, Koenig Specials pushed the envelope of supercar performance and styling, gaining recognition worldwide for their outlandish creations. Koenig would tune any manner of Mercedes Benz, Porsche, or Ferrari, offering both styling and performance upgrades.
As documented by an extensive history file, this incredible berlinetta boxer was purchased used by Donald L. Weber in January 1985 through Garage Francorchamps in Belgium, and Luxury Car Imports Ltd. in Mobile, Alabama. Already in Europe and finished in red over a tan interior with red accents, the Ferrari was sent directly to Willy König at Koenig Specials in Munich. Koenig installed its spectacular bodywork and three-piece BBS wheels; and by May 1985, the car was delivered to Compliance Research Inc. of Harbor City, California for federalization. The $8,300 fee was invoiced in August of that year and the Ferrari was subsequently delivered to Mr. Weber, the occasion captured in photos on file.
Showing 8,633 miles when imported, the car has been driven just over 4,000 miles in the ensuing 36 years, a figure demonstrated by its well-preserved condition, though there is some damage to the front air dam. Accompanied by manuals in folio, tool kit, and history file, this wild creation is sure to thrill its next owner for years to come and stand as the ultimate tribute to 1980s tuner-car excess.
*Please note that this vehicle will not be sold for use or resale in California or to a non-dealer California resident.
