As Roland Barthes says, "When it first appeared, the DS 19 worked like a magical object, shiny, seamless, with many windows, a kind of object that fell from the sky". And the way we look at the Citroën today is still the same. Nowadays, the DS is still a UFO, and very few cars reflect such a strong image. Its lines are fluid, slender, soft and stretched. From front to back, the lines are continuous, the front wheel arches break the harmony of the curves. The rear wheels are streamlined, streamlined. Bertoni's work is very original. From 1955 to 1974, the engines evolved from a 1.9l to a 2.3l with electronic injection.
The DS presented in these pages is an exceptional piece. It is a model first put into circulation in the Drôme department in December 1973. This is therefore the 1974 model year. A DS 23 Electronic Injection is the ultimate DS for connoisseurs, its engine develops 130 hp and allows the car to become a powerful sporty roadster, especially equipped with a 5-speed gearbox. A letter written by its first owner certifies that the car has never been damaged or repainted and no parts changed, except for routine maintenance. You don't need to be an expert to understand that this DS 23 Pallas is unique on the market.
