Model history
The car is propelled by an 8-cylinder, 5678 cc petrol-powered engine developing 150 BHP.
Cadillac Series 62 was manufactured from 1940 till 1964.
The first generation of the Series 62 was based on the GM’s C-Body platform, shared with Buick 50, Buick 70 and Oldsmobile 90. It shared a lot of the tech and styling features with the lesser models, but it was distinguished by more generous equipment and a more sumptuous interior. Series 62 was available in 4 body styles: 2- and 4- door convertible, as well as a 2-door coupé and a 4-door saloon later on.
Under the bonnet, there was a 5,7-litre V8 sending power to the rear wheels via a 3-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Second generation of the Series 62 went on sale in 1942 and was manufactured till 1947. A 4-door saloon was introduced in 1946. It was the first car of this type (4-door hardtop) produced by Cadillac after World War II.
