Beschreibung
Designed as an homage to the BMW 507, the Z8 is the limited-production model based on the Z07 concept. Behind the iconic design were famed designers Henrik Fisker, Chris Bangle, and Scott Lempert. The finished product was recognized as a modern interpretation of iconic cars from the 1950s and 1960s. Its stunning design even landed it a feature in the 1999 James Bond film, The World Is Not Enough.
However, the Z8 was not just all looks and no go. Featuring the famous 4.9-liter “S62” V-8 engine from the E39 M5 and a six-speed manual transmission, it was very exciting to drive as well. Along with its highly regarded power plant, the Z8 was made of an all-aluminum monocoque, making it 500 pounds lighter than the M5. As Motor Trend said, it was a “masterful blend of old-world open-top sports car motoring and modern-day high-tech wizardry.”
This stunning, collector-grade example was delivered new to its first owner in New York. Now showing just under 2,200 miles, this Z8 shows incredibly well for its age. The stunning bright red paint and Nappa black leather present in pristine condition, and it is one of only 137 examples finished in this color combination. Ownership history and mileage are documented through the CARFAX Vehicle History Report, and the full complement of books, tools, and accessories accompany the vehicle. This BMW Z8 offers the opportunity to secure a stunning example of BMW’s flagship sports car.
