Beschreibung
The Vantage moniker dates back to the early 1950s with the DB2 Vantage. Aston Martin continued to use it throughout the decades on many “DB” cars, until 1976, when the Vantage name moved to the V8. When it was introduced, the V8 Vantage had the fastest 0–60 time of any production car, at 5.3 seconds. Phased out for the 1989 model year, another V8 Vantage would not be seen again until 2005, when Aston Martin reintroduced the model to its lineup.
The new V8 Vantage offered an outstanding package at a relatively affordable price, and featured standard Brembo brakes, ideal near 50/50 weight distribution, and a low center of gravity, thanks to its dry sump lubrication system. The modern Vantage is often credited with reviving the brand, becoming the most successful model in Aston Martin’s history.
As a 2013 model, this striking V8 Vantage Coupe benefits from the revised AJ37 4.7-litre V-8, producing 420 hp and 346 lbs./ft. of torque. It also features highly desirable performance options, such as the six-speed manual transaxle, 19" diamond-turned wheels, and sport suspension. Presented in Stratus White, reportedly one of just 19 imported, and accented by a Spicy Red leather interior, it is believed to be the only Vantage built in this color combination. Acquired by the consignor in 2019, the Vantage displayed just 953 miles on its odometer when catalogued, and its one-of-one specification encapsulates the illustrious, elegant visage that the Aston Martin name represents to the world.
